Log4OM is a capable, actively developed logging program with solid LoTW and QRZ integration already built in. If it is your shack logger, keep it. Nothing here asks you to change how you log.
What DxQSO adds is the cloud side: your confirmations, your award standing and your alerts, available away from the shack PC and updating on their own.
How your log reaches DxQSO
You have three routes, and the first needs nothing from Log4OM at all.
- Through LoTW and QRZ. Log4OM already uploads your contacts. DxQSO connects to the same accounts and reads the confirmations back, around the clock. Set it up once and your log flows in without Log4OM knowing DxQSO exists.
- By ADIF. Export from Log4OM and upload the file to DxQSO, from the web or the mobile app.
- Through the public API, if you want a direct path.
What you get once it is there
- Your logbook in your pocket — searchable from the phone, at the club meeting or away from home.
- Confirmation alerts. When LoTW or QRZ confirms one of your contacts, DxQSO tells you, and tells you what it moved.
- Award tracking across DXCC, Worked All States, VUCC and FFMA, the CQ awards and the DX Marathon, computed from your confirmations.
- Club standings on DxSocial, if you want your club to see them.
What DxQSO does not do
- It is not a logging program. There is no contest keyer, no rig control, no macros. Log where you log.
- It does not need to sit between you and LoTW. Upload however you already upload; DxQSO reads the results.
- It does not merge your confirmation sources. LoTW and QRZ are kept as two labeled sets, because ARRL awards accept one of them and not the other.
Common questions
Do I have to change how I log?
No. That is the whole point.
Does DxQSO upload to LoTW for me?
It does not need to. If you would like an easier path to LoTW, that is what DX-TQSL is for.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Connect a logbook source and the core features are free.
